Heart of Maremma, Wine Soul

In the heart of the Maremma, along the South coast of Tuscany, there is the Argentario peninsula, joined by two strips of land.
This Gin takes inspiration exactly from its woods, our Ansonica vineyards and the sea.
Juniper, lemon balm, bitter orange, jasmine, a bit of grape distillate and two hand-picked botanicals, mastic and sea fennel, fully reflect the character of our people and our territory.
It is a versatile Gin both for cocktails and to drink alone.

Why should you choose / ar•GIN•tario /?

We aimed at a simple gin with few botanicals, but special in the selection. Each plant we have chosen awakens some scents, memories that stimulate our mind and that overall create a harmony of flavours.

These ingredients represent a journey to the Argentario. We start from the rock with the sea fennel (the plant closest to the sea), up to the hill of the Argentario Mountain, through the Mastic.

LA SODA

A beautiful beach and one of the easiest to reach on the Argentario, it inspired us above all because in the past it was an ancient railway passage where coal was transported from the ancient mines of the Giglio Island. We therefore imagined it as a refreshing and thirst-quenching drink to be enjoyed under the hot summer sun.

  • 5,0 cl GIN /ar٠GIN٠ta٠rio/
  • 1.5 cl Syrup of gum arabic and Fabbri vegetable coals
  • 1.5 cl Orange shrub
  • 1.0 cl Lime Juice (filtered)
  • Fill with soda

LADY NEGRONI

Our version of Negroni is a tribute to the woman and the wine that most binds us to our history and our territory, the Ansonica, the queen grape of the Argentario. Finally, with the other ingredient of this drink, we dedicate a thought to Oscar Q, who with his knowledge collaborated in the birth of our gin.

  • 3,0 cl GIN /ar٠GIN٠ta٠rio/
  • 3,0 cl Ansonica “Santa Lucia”
  • 3,0 cl Q Bitter bianco

LUCIANO’S MARTINI

Dedicated to our father, Luciano Scotto, it is a straightforward, sincere and direct cocktail as he was, who would certainly have appreciated drinking in our company with a good pinzimonio and some raw prawns.

  • 6,0 cl GIN /ar٠GIN٠ta٠rio/
  • 1.0 cl Q Dry Vermouth

MAREMMA AMARA (Gin Tonic)

The drink par excellence that best matches our land, our history and that of the cocktail itself. A classic of mixing inspired by the old cure for malaria, which so much afflicted our ancestors and the Maremma, made since the times of the Etruscans, among other things, with juniper infusions and around 1600 with the discovery of quinine, key aroma of tonic water.

  • 5,0 cl GIN /ar٠GIN٠ta٠rio/
  • Complete with fever tree mediterranean tonic
